Our Why

We’re here not just to run drills or win games - we’re here to build better athletes, better teammates, and better people

We started No Coast Volleyball Training Collective to provide a space for athletes to grow with confidence, train with purpose, and compete with joy.

 

We’re driven by the why behind each player’s journey- the spark that fuels their hustle, their dreams, and their love for the game.

 

From the grassroots, to the elite, we coach with intention, lead with heart, and push for progress both on and off the court.

Christian Wagan

  • 14 Years Club Coaching Experience

  • 2 Years of High School Coaching Experience (De Smet High School and Incarnate Word Academy)

  • 2 Years of Collegiate Coaching Experience (University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy)

  • Head Coach - 2024 AAU Nationals 3rd place - 15U (Elite Division)

  • Assistant Coach - 2024 AAU Nationals 2nd place - 13U (Aspire Division)

Matt Haynes

  • Over 20 years of experience coaching youth sports

  • Currently a weight training teacher at Ft. Zumwalt West High School

  • Serves as a minister at West End Church of Christ

  • Former Head Coach of Ft. Zumwalt West Boys Volleyball Program (5 years)

  • Co-Head Coach of Ft. Zumwalt West Girls Volleyball Program alongside his wife, Michelle

  • Club coach at Missouri Volleyball Academy (MOVA) for the past 6 years

Michelle Haynes

  • 6 years of Club Coaching Experience

  • 2 years Girls High School Coaching (Ft Zumwalt West)

  • Coached youth sports for over 15 years

  • Assistant Coach - 2024 AAU Nationals 3rd place - 15U (Elite Division)

  • 4 year starter for University of Alabama (1997-2000)

Kristen Stensby

  • Assistant coach for the Development 11U Team at Finesse Volleyball Academy (FVA)

  • 5+ years of coaching experience with CYC volleyball, working with elementary and middle school athletes

  • Current head coach for CYC 11u (2 seasons) 

  • Current assistant coach for CYC 13u (5 seasons) 

  • Current assistant coach for CYC 10u (1 season)

  • Experienced in helping young athletes build volleyball fundamentals, develop confidence, and grow their understanding of the game while fostering a love for volleyball

Luke Young

  • Joined Webster from SIUE, where he coached volleyball since 2014.

  • Promoted to SIUE associate head coach in 2017; served as recruiting and offensive coordinator.

  • Helped SIUE to 23 wins and best RPI (No. 92) in program history in first year as associate head coach.

  • In 2018, led SIUE offense to OVC-best 13.76 kills and 13.12 assists per set.

  • Interim head coach at Washington University in 2013; led team to 27-8 record and NCAA DIII second round.

  • Coached two All-Americans, two All-Region, five All-Conference, and one Academic All-Region player.

  • Assistant coach at Lindenwood for six seasons (men’s and women’s teams); helped teams to multiple titles and NCAA DII transition.

  • Teams at Lindenwood won 287 matches combined; men’s team won 2009 NAIA National Championship.
